Daikin commercial heat pumps adapt to diverse building layouts, delivering precise climate control for individual and zoned comfort. These systems help minimize excessive energy consumption3 and are designed to provide a comfortable indoor environment for customers and employees.
Daikin heat pump technology outperforms gas furnaces in heat output, generating 4kW of heat energy for every 1 kW of energy used. By reducing reliance on fossil fuel appliances, all-electric heat helps support global sustainability goals4, making them an efficient, indoor comfort solution for both residential and commercial spaces.
Daikin heat pumps provide energy-efficient heating and cooling and consistent comfort in every season.1 Whether you’re upgrading, building, or remodeling, these all-electric systems are a sustainable and cost-effective solution2 for temperature control and can help reduce the reliance on fossil fuel appliances.
Reducing the Carbon Footprint
A defining characteristic of all-electric heat pumps is using electricity to generate heat rather than burning fossil fuels. Daikin's commitment to environmental responsibility is reflected in the development of our new heat pump models, featuring advanced technology and a refrigerant (R-32) with a significantly reduced environmental impact. With the transition to renewable electricity sources such as solar and wind power, heat pumps provide a sustainable option.

Outperforming Traditional Heating Methods
Heat pumps are far more efficient than traditional electric baseboard heaters or gas and oil furnaces. Standard baseboard heating systems generate heat by passing an electric current through a heating element, converting electrical energy into heat. This method typically operates at nearly 100 percent efficiency, meaning every unit of electricity consumed is converted into a unit of usable heat.
In contrast, heat pumps can create up to 4X more heat energy than they use. This means for every unit of electricity used to power the system, a heat pump can transfer up to four units of heat into the home. The key to this efficiency is that heat pumps don’t generate heat; they simply move it from one place to another, requiring far less energy than conventional heating methods.

Year-Round Comfort
Modern heat pumps equipped with inverter technology and refrigerants, such as R-32 refrigerant, are designed to maintain high efficiency even when outdoor temperatures drop. Some heat pumps can extract heat from the outside air at temperatures as low as -13°F (-25°C), ensuring a comfortable indoor space even in cold climates.

Driving sustainability with innovation
The U.S. Department of Energy has recognized the efficiency of all-electric heat pumps, noting they can save up to 50% on heating and cooling costs compared to furnaces and baseboard heaters.6 This efficiency stems from the heat pump’s ability to transfer heat rather than generate it using fossil fuels. As a result, homes and businesses that adopt heat pump technology may lower both their energy usage and greenhouse gas emissions from their HVAC system. With Daikin’s advanced heat pump technology, homeowners and businesses can enjoy the benefits of exceptional comfort, energy-efficiency, and a commitment to sustainability for future generations.
