Whole Home Hydronic Systems
Efficient Heating, Cooling and Hot Water.
The Daikin ALTHERMA 3 H HT air-to-water heat pump system is designed to cover a wide range of hydronic applications, making it an excellent choice for replacing boilers and furnaces, especially in areas with low ambient temperatures.
Once the outdoor unit is connected to the indoor unit, there is a range of system combinations, such as being paired with emitters already in the home like baseboards or radiators, or be integrated with heat pump convectors, hydronic air handlers, and in-floor radiant loops.
Daikin offers flexible hydronic HVAC solutions to fit your home’s unique characteristics.

High Water Temperature

Delivers water temperatures up to 158°F (70°C) even at 5°F (-15°C) outdoor temperature, making the system suitable for a wide range of applications including baseboards, radiators, radiant heating, and domestic hot water. This high output capability ensures comfort and compatibility with both new and existing homes.

Inverter Compressor

The compressor, located in the outdoor unit, circulates refrigerant within the system to transfer energy between the outdoor air and the water loop. Not all compressors are created equal. Traditional systems use single-speed (100% ON or OFF) or two-speed compressors. Modern Daikin systems are equipped with adaptive inverter technology, which adjusts the compressor speed in real time, as necessary to balance indoor comfort and system efficiency.

R-32 Refrigerant

R-32 is a next-generation refrigerant used in Daikin ALTHERMA systems to efficiently transfer heat between the outdoor unit and your home’s water-based system. It delivers strong heating and cooling performance with lower environmental impact, circulating through the outdoor unit to capture heat from the air and transfer it into water for use throughout the home.
